Dr Mark Neilan
Senior Clinic Veterinarian (BVSc, Dip.An.Chiro)
Mark graduated from University of Queensland in 1978 and immediately commenced work in Victoria in dairy and equine practice.
After years of finding that conventional treatments didn’t always meet the needs of his patients and clients he did post graduate studies through RMIT and became qualified as an Animal Chiropractor. He now finds that the combination of veterinary and chiropractic skills allow him to provide a wider range of treatment options for patients.

Dr Chris DaSilva
Veterinarian (MVB)
Chris grew up in the English countryside and moved to Ireland to study veterinary medicine in 2012. He graduated as a veterinarian from University College Dublin in 2017 and, looking for somewhere new, landed here in Maffra.
Chris has settled in well to life in Gippsland and enjoys exploring the local area and playing soccer. He has 2 cats – Zoey and Apollo.

Her Vet career has taken her all around Australia, as well as a couple of years in the UK, fostering her love of travel. Bel is embracing being back in Gippsland with her own children, who delight in helping out with wildlife care & kitten fostering.

Mike joined our clinic in February 2024 after 8 years as the local District Veterinary Officer.
He is pleased to be back practising general medicine with an interest in small animal surgery and production animal medicine. He is well settled in Gippsland with his wife and two teenage daughters.

Megan Walker
Operations Coordinator (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing, Level 3 Professional Groomer, Cert IV Training & Assessment )
Megan joined our practice in early 2010. She completed her Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing in 2012, Level 3 Professional Grooming Qualification in 2015 & Certificate IV TAE in 2022.
Meg now plays a key role in the administration of the practice, ensuring the vets have all the assistance they need to work efficiently - maintaining clinical equipment, stock control & drug handling.
Meg keeps busy by enjoying adventures with her family & dog Chip, and relaxing with her cat Crumpet.

Miranda enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, adventuring with her partner, and relaxing at the beach. Miranda is also a proud fur-mum to her two German Shepherds, Jameson and Zara.

Heidi’s love for the outdoors meant that she spent most weekends travelling hundreds of kilometres to Gippsland and the High Country, so when a position came up at Animal Clinic Maffra she knew it was time for a tree-change.
In her spare time, you can find Heidi adventuring with her adorable Brussels Griffon “Olive” and naughty Pug X “Winston”.

This cheeky 3-legged kitty spends his days greeting clients & their pets, breaking into food & treats or paw-ssibly lazing on his rug at reception. Purr-haps you will see Benjamin hi5 or dance for a treat, but don’t let this purr-fect Bengal fool you, he has quite the cat-titude!
