Puppy Pre-school

Animal Clinic Maffra puppy pre-school classes are a must for anyone who has a new puppy. These classes are carried out during the vital developmental stage of your little friends life, gives them the very best start and the opportunity to grow into a well behaved companion. During this time it’s beneficial to involve both the puppy and handler in as many activities as possible, all of which are carried out in a safe and controlled environment.

At the same time as your puppy is busy socialising with other puppies and people, we focus on teaching owners positive reinforcement methods, general health care, toileting, nutrition, grooming, parasites and more. Each class will also dedicate time to covering any individual concerns and questions the owners may have.

Our classes are held on Tuesday nights from 6pm - 7pm at the clinic, each course runs for 4 weeks and only costs $100, which is required prior to commencement. Places are limited which means your puppy will benefit from your instructor having more time to spend with the both of you.

You will receive a puppy pack, educational handouts, a graduation certificate, a tag for your pups collar, treats and plenty of tips and advice from your instructor.

Puppies must be between the ages of 8 - 14 weeks old and is vital that they’ve had their first vaccination to join puppy preschool. You’ll need to bring a well fitting collar, proof of 1st vaccination and some appropriate dog treats. The clinic will provide treats for the first class and then they’ll be available for purchase after that.
